Kaya Cookies
Kaya is coconut jam which is make up of coconut & sugar + flavoured with pandan leaf. Which is typically an asian jam.
Because my dad just brought kaya, so i getting the thought of putting my the kaya inside my cookies. I thought it would be delicious to have a kaya cookie. It would be unique..haha.
I actually put it in a “House” Jar, which I brought in korean. Which is kinda cute !

Recipe (yields 20 cookies)
1/3 Cup of Kaya
2tbsp of Sugar
1 1/4 Cup of AP flour (sifted)
1tsp of baking powder
1/2 Cup of butter
1tsp of vanilla extract
1 egg
Preparations
-Whisk the butter & sugar, till the mixture become pale.
-Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix it evenly.
- Add in the flour & baking powder.
-Mix till it becomes abit sticky. Then, add in kaya.
- Take a clingwrap and put some flour on it to prevent the mixture to stick on it.
- Put the mixtue on clingwrap and form a long dough shape.
-Chill in fridge for 1 hour.
-Preheat oven 180*C, when mixture chill it will be harden.
-Cut it with a knife(coated with flour), cut it in slices.
-Bake it for 15 to 20 mins till brown.
- Let it cool down to room temperature before Serving.
